Abuja Chief wants Traditional ruler involved in Local government Autonomy.

 The chief Guku Gwamipa kingdom a subburd of Abuja in Karu Municipal Area of F.C.T His royal Highness Habakuk Sulieman had charged new sworn Councilors and the local government chairman of Karu local government areas of Nassarawa state to uphold the trust been given to them by grass root electorate by promoting good governance  among their people.

The traditional ruler gives these charges while addressing journalists at Karu venue of the swearing as the new elected Councilors.

The chief said,the traditional council members should be given a rule to play in the local government autonomy of the desired goal of the federal government will be achieved.


The position of traditional council in local government administration has been the subject of debate for a long time as their power and was taken off during the former president Ibrahim babgidida.
