NIMASA Blue Economy Accelerator 2026: Application Link, Requirements and Deadline`
Nigeria Anchorage - The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has launched the Blue Economy Accelerator Programme (NIMASA-BEAP) to support young Nigerians with innovative maritime ideas. The programme, in partnership with Opolo Global Innovation, will help turn youth-led ideas into viable businesses that can tap into Nigeria's blue economy. NIMASA said Nigeria has about 853 kilometres of coastline and huge marine resources but captures less than three per cent of the value from maritime activities in its waters. The Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Dayo Mobereola, said the accelerator is a national economic imperative that will bring together capital, innovation and industry expertise. Under the programme, selected innovators aged 18 to 28 will get business support, technical mentorship and access to investors, banks and shipping companies.
