ADC presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Bola Tinubu’s claims of economic progress, asking where the promised prosperity is amid the economic realities facing Nigerians.

In his Independence Day address marking Nigeria’s 66th anniversary, the former Vice-President criticised the Tinubu administration’s handling of the economy, insecurity and public spending, arguing that the government’s account of recovery does not reflect the daily experiences of many Nigerians.

Atiku also outlined his proposed approach to fuel subsidy and called for stronger protection of political freedoms.
