History have many faces.sometimes,it comes as a reoccurring events, sometime,it becomes also the template where future events take place. Whichever way, history is created, the importance thing is that, they is always lessons to be learned. For those who allowed negative history to happen again might not has learned from the impact or they are not fully in line of it's chaos, but for the oppressed, the vengeance for revenge sound sweet when pressing a for such events. When the Boko Haram was created during 2007 at the early years of the democracy depensation, the actors and sponsors never foreseen the dangers ahead.just like Ipob, they were regionists who think, the monster would be a conduits to draw political sympathy to their regions. They were all kind of political atities between the ruling party and the opposition members then, which person like me believed, led to the distraction at the time the center government should have weighed the big Hammer ...

Cooks who are unwilling to share their bounty. by Okwo Romeon.

Our country, "Nigeria," is at a crossroads, and whatever we do as a people to salvage the situation will not be too great a sacrifice. From community leaders to our politicians, the beacon is on, but the people heeding the calls are what should be most important to the masses. It is not because the current political class who threw their hats into the contest are not qualified, but Nigerians are afraid of what would still be their political actions if some of them are still returned to office. Available records of some of them have shown that most of them were corrupt-minded while in their previous office, and it is mind-boggling if one gets to know the enormity of wealth most of them have when they can purchase nomination forms of their party as high as a hundred million naira in a chicken exchange. Regardless of the image laundering done by some of them to relaunch their stolen wealth and create a nice impression of successful technocrats in their careers, it is a sm...

Godwin Emefiele: taking the jokes too far.   By Okwo Romeon.

The rumors of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, contesting the presidency come as striking rumors to some of us. It was an ambition taken beyond many Nigerians' imagination. At first, I was minding my business, thinking such a thing could not happen, looking at the statutory rules governing the Act of the Apex bank. But this is Nigeria, my country, where the least imagined things can happen.  First, the news started flying in that a group of young Nigerians under the auspices of "Emefiele Friends" are contributing money among themselves to raise a hundred million naira to purchase a nomination form for Godwin Emefiele and then persuade the CBN governor to stand for the presidency.    The news stories about this group keep trending both in mainstream and social media. Interestingly, nobody takes this group seriously and neither does the CBN governor nor his personal aids, having seen or heard of the activities of the group, issue any press sta...

The Former Presidential Aspirant and Senior Special Adviser on Ethics ,Moral and Values to ex President Jonathan Ebere Goodluck,Dr.Sarah Jibrin has called on politicians and religious leaders to especially the Moslem and Christian faithfuls in the country to adhere to the teachings of both Jesus and Prophet Mohammed as the beam for peaceful co-existence of both faith. Dramas from Africa ‘s largest democracy by okwo romeon

It is Saturday morning, probably the end of April 2022, and about 155 days to the general election of the most populous black nation in the world. The local radio stations have been my favorites, not because they have good content, but as a young promising columnist I had promised to be, I usually listened each time to get my daily opinion, which I used most times to sum up my views in the early hours of every morning across the different radio platforms. As divisive as some of the opinions were, they gave a clear picture of what average voters in this part of the world think about their political leaders. Most Nigerians are obsessed with various types of sediments, ranging from religion to ethnicity, regional bigotry, and even making the right decisions regarding their political rights. It is like some Nigerians have lost their political history or cannot even store any. The worse is that, we have lost empathy, humanity and clear conscience, and l...
