Mama Sarah Jibrin calls for Mutual Respect among Religions Worshippers By Okwo Romeon.

The Former Presidential Aspirant and Senior Special Adviser on Ethics ,Moral and Values to ex President Jonathan Ebere Goodluck,Dr.Sarah Jibrin has called on politicians and religious leaders to especially the Moslem and Christian faithfuls in the country to adhere to the teachings of both Jesus and Prophet Mohammed as the beam for peaceful co-existence of both faith. The former Adviser make this called at Abuja when journalists stormed at her in events which she was attending as a special guest. Mama Sarah as she is fondly called never wanted to interact with the newsmen at first, “saying she had restored to her private life now and she believed,politics should be left to the current political leaders who are doing enough to fix the current challenges the country is passing through now.

While she was pressed further to know if she will be mobilizing women for 2023 because of her pedigree as the first women presidential aspirant, she responded by saying, “even when, a Nigerian woman was the second in Command as the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, the politicians at home has not deemed it fit to elect women to such political positions in the country as our men still shy away from the fact that women can lead better if given the chance”. While the called for religious tolerance by her, Dr. Sarah admitted, they are more religious challenges going on in the country now and it is when such issues are addressed and leaders who swore by their religious affirmation start leading by the oath they swore to, leadership puzzle will continue to play the minds of many Nigerians.
