Distinguished Senator Aliyu Wamakko, commissioning Deputy Governors Forum in Abuja

Distinguished Senator Aliyu Wamakko, a special guest of honor, emphasized that Nigeria needs forums like the Former Deputy Governors Forum to bring cohesion, unity, and progress in governance for the sake of future generations.

The Former Deputy Governors Forum (FDGF) has officially commissioned its new secretariat in Abuja, marking a significant milestone for national unity and leadership. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including representatives of the federal government, members of the National Assembly, and the diplomatic community.

Senator Wamakko described the new secretariat as more than just a physical structure, highlighting its importance in promoting unity, progress, prosperity, and good governance. "This is not just about a building," he said. "We are talking about Nigeria's future — about unity, progress, prosperity, and a commitment to good governance, transparency, and accountability."

The forum's Chairman, Dr. Chris Akomas, expressed gratitude for the forum's progress since its incorporation in 2010 and commended supporters who contributed to the realization of the project. The new complex serves as a permanent home for the forum and accommodates the Polish-Nigerian Business Council, creating an international hub for economic cooperation and investment dialogue
