Amb Joseph Yakubu had Calls on his Members to Refrain from Nationwide Protest by Okwo romeon

The National President of Favoured Farmers Community Empowerment Trust (FFACET) Amb Joseph T. Yakubu is deeply concerned about the planned nationwide protest against the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over economic hardship in the country.

He said ,while  FFACET recognizes the right of citizens to peaceful assembly and expression, we believe that the security implications of the planned protest cannot be overlooked.

It is no secret that Nigeria is currently facing a grave security crisis, with heightened tensions and threats to public safety.

The Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters, and the Department of State Services have raised alarm over the potential for anarchy and further deterioration of the security situation should the planned protest proceed.

FFACET acknowledges the challenges facing our nation, including the economic hardships experienced by many citizens. However, we firmly believe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration are working diligently to address these challenges.

President Tinubu has taken proactive steps to implement economic reforms, tackle corruption, and promote inclusive growth. It is crucial for citizens to give the administration the necessary time and support to implement these measures effectively.

In light of the security concerns and the proactive measures taken by the President, FFACET calls on its members in all the 774 local government areas in Nigeria to refrain from participating in the planned nationwide protest. Instead, we urge our members to engage constructively with government institutions, advocate for their concerns through lawful channels, and actively support the ongoing efforts to address the economic hardships facing our nation.

FFACET reaffirms its commitment to promoting peace, stability, and inclusive development in Nigeria. We encourage all citizens to prioritize the collective well-being of our nation and to engage in dialogue and collaboration to address the challenges we face.

As we navigate these trying times, FFACET stands in solidarity with all Nigerians and remains dedicated to playing a positive and constructive role in building a stronger, more prosperous, and secure nation for all.
