As the College of Nursing Science Obudu in Cross River State South South Nigeria matriculates it's first set of students for the degree programs, the Traditional (Paramount)  ruler of the Obudu Kingdom His Royal Majesty, Utsu Felix Okudare (Utsu Bettle V)   had charges government and another stakeholders in the health sector to provide more basic affordable healthcare delivery service to the citizens. 


In a good will message to the  school of Nursing science delivery by his representative   

Said, "the importance of this occasion cannot be emphasized  bearing in mind that good health is better than gold"


He said, 'he wish to assure the college of all our round support of the traditional rulers with the entire people of Obudu local government area. 

He believed, the success of the school is of great concern to us as people and we must stop at nothing else to achieving it. 


The traditional said, he will galvanized his subjects in collaboration with others security agencies in the local government to provide adequate protection to both the student and the school . 

His Majesty heartily congratulate the provot of the College , Dr Victoria Undeshi and all the school management , member of the board and the students for working relentlessly to bring the College to such enviable height and urged them to keep the candle burning as Obudu people are proud of them .

In appreciation for the contribution of the traditional rulers councils, one of the chief was also confer  with a award by the management of the school . 

In attendance was the Sarki Hausa of Obudu Alhaji Kasimu Haruna  in an interview with newsmen say, the upgrade of the college to degree institution is a noble one by the state government and he advised his subjects to key into it as nurses well trained will play a very importance role in nation buildings.

He said,as father,I have two my daughters here already and more them are still joining.


Highlight of the events included Obudu traditional dancers which was specially provided by palace to showcase Obudu rich cultural festivals to August visitors.
