Hon. Blessings Onah Remains Committed to PDP Despite Challenges by Okwo rom


The recent turmoil in the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has led to a wave of defections, with some elected officials leaving the party for other political parties. However, Hon. Blessings Onah, a member of the Benue State Assembly representing Oju 1, has vowed to remain a faithful member of the party despite the challenges it is facing.


In an interview with a correspondent in Makurdi, Hon. Onah expressed his confidence that the party will overcome its current difficulties, stating, "What is happening in PDP is just a challenging time, and it is my hope and belief that, as a party, we shall come out of this problem."


When asked about his plans for 2027, Hon. Onah reiterated his commitment to the party, saying, "I remain a faithful member of the party, and I believe that when the time comes, my people will make that consultation, but for now, I remain a PDP member."

Hon. Onah has been a vocal voice in the Benue State Assembly, serving as the minority leader before being relieved of his position. He is known for his advocacy for the Igede people and has been recognized by various civil society organizations and Igede socio-cultural groups as a champion of their rights.
