A glances at APC Covention tomorrow
The All Progressive Congress (APC),Nigeria ruling political party is set to go with its national convention on twentysix of March 2022 tomorrow.
The all awaited conversation about the possibility to have the Convention or not will be finally laid to rest .
As usual, the party has resolved to consensus candidature like one of it's sister political opposition party, making the President endorsed candidate the man to be unveiled tomorrow, while some of the contestants are passively not happy with the decision of the President, a look at the last night dinner with Mr.president revealed “anxieties” in faces of some of the candidates, but in Nigeria,we have puppets adults as our political leaders who can hardly cough for their pains unless they are throw out of the sharing formula.
I begets the dissatisfied politicians to speak up realizing their rights had been twisted, but I foresaw a cold feet at the dinner night, even as some of them wine and dine profusely while nodding their heads to the president speech.
Perhaps, if it were developed democracies, we should have seen more of a democracy process where a party leader is elected by party members comprising of ordinary members from ward level voting to elect their party choice national chairman that is if such a candidate draw a genuine program for it's party ideologies. Here in my country, reverse has always been the case for most things, how can you bring a man who ideals is almost lost within the new generation lead such a generation?
This is what made President and governor to becomes more powerful than any political party they sail into office with and the reoccurring sacking of chairman and court cases keep filling our ears creating staggering governance everywhere because they duo have power to relieve such chairmen of their job.
Where governors and President keep packaging choice individual as Party Chairmen across all the political parties in the country every general elections should be a big concern to every Nigerian youths like myself, although, several Nigerian's like myself did not expect the Candidates designate of Mr.President and the governor's to bring any crucial differences to party ideologies or it manifesto, it is just an arrangement of conviness for political aristocracies as usual as both the major political parties had failed to make it known to Nigerians they are ready to address the economy woes the citizens are in for within a critical period like the current fuel depletion the country is floating on.
How long some of this anomalies will go on , it is only time that will tell, but “we” some of the youths have exalted our patients, we hope the President should do us favor by drawing only the line for his party and give us free and fair election come 2023 as anything short of this will not be accepted by majority of the good people of this country.
Let youths who are in ApC also champions this called for a surgical revolution in their party if not when the real changes would come,it will first blow off their compound.
