Hon. Onah condemned the blatant exclusion of the Igede people from the recent Christian pilgrimage to Israel, describing it as an affront to justice and a denial of equal rights. He made it clear that no community in Benue will be relegated to the margins as long as he has a voice in the Assembly.

Hon. Onah also distinguished himself as a defender of excellence when he refused to back down over the recognition of Egboja Fortune Iji, a brilliant Igede son who emerged as one of the best WAEC performers in Benue State.
