MAKU: APC IN NASARAWA IN CRISIS OVER ALLEGED CANDIDATE IMPOSITIONS By Okwo romeon-Karu
Labaran Maku, the Labour Party (LP) candidate in the Nasarawa North Senatorial Bye-Election, has alleged that the APC in Nasarawa State is deeply divided due to the imposition of candidates.
According to Maku, Hon. Silas Agara won the senatorial ticket but was denied the position, while a retired Inspector-General of Police who allegedly won the APC governorship primaries also had the ticket taken away and handed to another candidate.

“APC in Nasarawa State is broken into pieces because of the imposition of candidates,” Maku stated.
He further alleged attempts to relocate the election collation centre from the College of Education to the Government House (VIP) in Akwanga, urging INEC to remain impartial and uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
Maku maintained that the APC has no clear path to victory in the Nasarawa North bye-election, claiming that his campaign faces little opposition on the ground.
