President Commends Cleric’s Interfaith Bridge-Building, Contributions to Human Development
ABUJA — President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Archbishop Francis Wale Oke, on his 70th birthday, describing the renowned cleric as a committed servant of God and a champion of peaceful coexistence.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu commended Oke for his decades of Christian evangelism, leadership and service to humanity.
The President also praised the cleric’s contributions to education and youth development as co-founder and Chancellor of Precious Cornerstone University, which, he said, had created opportunities for thousands of Nigerian youths.
Tinubu described Oke, who has served twice as PFN president, as a leader distinguished by integrity, humility, spiritual commitment and courage.
He said the cleric had consistently promoted dialogue, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence across religious boundaries.
The President said through the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, founded by Oke, the cleric had helped spread the Christian message of salvation, hope, faith and restoration to millions around the world.
“Through your words and actions, you have shown that faith, when genuinely rooted in love for God and humanity, should build bridges across boundaries,” Tinubu said.
He commended the celebrant for combining evangelism with education, peacebuilding and investment in the future of Nigerian youths.
Tinubu prayed for continued strength, sound health and many more fruitful years of service to God and humanity.
